Feeling Free

When's the last time you felt free? Really free?

Free from expectations? From caregiving? Free of the mold you were taught equates "professionalism?"

To just play? Reeeally play? Just because it feels good!

It's crazy how hard it can be to simply play. To let go of all the rules...and shoulds...and "how I'm supposed to be."

To feel safe enough to let go. To feel held enough to let the guard down.

We're human.

Made to organize, to produce, to create. But also...

We're made to rest. To be in awe. To commune with the rest of creation. To really, fully immerse ourselves in play.

For no reason. Just because it's fun and fuels the spirit. That's enough.

Believe it or not, this moment (captured by strangers I only met less than 24 hours before...strangers who are now friends) was part of our business bootcamp.

Why? Because stepping out of our comfort zones and remembering our "why" is pivotal to being a successful leader.

Swinging over a rice field with a flowy dress may not be my purpose. But the freedom of letting go and being in the moment...that's a wonderful gift.

My "why" in business...and truly in life...is to love and to bring freedom in everything I do. Amados literally translates to "beloved."

Thank you @glographics for reminding me to receive that as well.

To my fellow bootcampers hollering and cheering me on in the background, I appreciate you, ladies. Thank you for sharing your space, vulnerabilities, and wisdom with me.

What about you? I wonder what wisdom that moment of play is waiting to share with you.
